On September 16th, the 2018-2019 cohort of the EMCL had their graduation ceremony, in the city of Maastricht. The programme directors from both Royal Academy and Maastricht University conferred the MA degrees to the successful students, alongside the recognition of the Cum Laude and Summa Cum Laude graduates. Present were distinguished professors from Maastricht University and international cultural leaders.
The ceremony was concluded with a celebratory dinner at the Grand Cafe in Vrijthof.
Congratulations to all the graduates!

Deptford Foundry Open Studios
Nichole Herbert Wood, one of the Executive Master in Cultural Leadership’s alumni, has kindly shared the following exciting announcement about an event taking place in London on 14 and 15 May.
London has lost 50% of its affordable workspace over the last decade, especially space allocated for craft and designer makers. Second Floor Studios & Arts is stemming the loss through pioneering delivery of an asset-led acquisition programme, protecting workspace for the next six generations. The Deptford Foundry is the first flagship acquisition for SFSA and two further sites are planned: 30 studios in north-west London and a dedicated, three-floor, maker-focused studio building in Purfleet as part of High House Production Park, with prestigious neighbours such as the Royal Opera House and Backstage Centre.
2022 is SFSA’s 25th operational year and they invite everyone to come to the Foundry on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May to take part in the highlight of their annual programming – Open Studios weekend. Meet and celebrate SFSA’s membership at varying stages of their careers from all visual arts disciplines showcasing their work.
