WHAT IS CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR SUPERVISORS AND DIRECTORS?
Many supervisors and directors want to continuously develop themselves in order to perform their tasks properly. They see their management and/or supervisory position as a profession, for which they regularly undertake further training in order to be and remain effective. This involves the entirety of professional knowledge, professional skills, attitude and behaviour required to effectively carry out the responsibilities and duties as director or supervisor. Attending seminars and conferences and participating in workshops is indispensable and, increasingly, partly mandatory in this respect.
Maastricht University School of Business and Economics is accredited by EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System), AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and AMBA (Association of MBAs). We thus meet the conditions set by VTW, Aedes and NBA, among others, for the awarding of CE hours (“PE-uren” in Dutch).
If you participate in at least 6 master classes over 2 years, you will receive a certificate from Maastricht University and be eligible for registration in the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics’ register of certified supervisors.

OUR STUDENTS
UMIO’s various management programmes attract a wide variety of students. Although they come from different backgrounds, they have a few things in common: They are in, or aspire to be in management or leadership roles, and are continuously looking for ways to develop themselves both professionally and personally.
STUDY IN MAASTRICHT
Education at UMIO takes place at the Tapijnkazerne in Maastricht. These former barracks in the heart of Maastricht have recently been completely renovated. The result is a modern and sustainable education location that is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, in the middle of the city park and within walking distance of Maastricht’s city center.
ACCREDITATION
UMIO belongs to a select group of educational institutions with three prestigious international accreditations: AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. Worldwide, only 1% of the educational institutions have such a Triple Crown accreditation. We are also accredited by the Dutch-Flemish NVAO.
