You are eligible for the STAP budget if you meet the following criteria:
WHAT’S THE PROCEDURE?
STEP 1
REGISTRATION
Register for an eligible UMIO programme. Check the conditions with the programme coordinator.
STEP 2
PROOF OF REGISTRATION
Once you signed up, you will receive a proof of registration from UMIO, which you need in order to submit your application for the STAP budget to UWV (Employee Insurance Agency).
STEP 3
START APPLICATION
After receiving the proof of registration, start the application for the subsidy via the STAP portal on www.stapuwv.nl.
STEP 4
CONFIRMATION
Within four weeks after the application, you will hear whether the subsidy will be granted. The earliest start date of a programme with STAP funding therefore is 28 days after your registration at UWV.
STEP 5
GRANTING THE SUBSIDY
The subsidy will only be granted once you have completed the programme according to the conditions and you have received a proof of participation, certificate or diploma.

WHAT BUDGET IS AVAILABLE?
A new application period for the STAP budget starts every two months. Has the budget run out? Then try again in a subsequent application period, provided you meet the conditions. After logging on to the website www.stapuwv.nl you will immediately see how much budget is still available.
PAY ATTENTION!
Applications must be submitted at least 4 weeks before the start of the programme. The programme must start no later than 3 months after the end of the application period.
