EHRA Level 3 | DAS-CAM is designed as an executive programme, of four modules spread over 1 academic year. Each module has the following format: online preparatory phase, intensive 3-day-in-person training (Saturday afternoon until Tuesday morning), followed by evaluation phase to integrate and reflect on the module. In addition to time spent in-person during the module, you will also be expected to complete coursework from a distance. The in-person training takes place in Maastricht (Netherlands) and Sophia Antipolis / Nice (France). Tuition fee is €2,500. Travel, accommodation and other expenses to be covered by the participants.




About the programme
The Leadership and Innovation in Cardiac Arrhythmia Management programme (DAS-CAM) is aimed at arrhythmia specialists aiming to take a key leadership role in the field. Participants will be equipped with skills in leadership, management, and innovation, culminating in a Certificate of Advanced Studies from Maastricht University and with an optional path to completing a PhD.
The Leadership and Innovation in Cardiac Arrhythmia Management programme (DAS-CAM) is supported by Abbott, Boston Scientific and Medtronic in the form of educational grants. The scientific programme has not been influenced in any way by its sponsors.



Programme format
Each module has the following format: preparatory phase (~20 hours, self-learning), 3 day in-person training (25 hours) and an evaluation phase (10 hours). The format of the course comprises, small-group teaching, lectures, hands-on training, team projects and interaction with European leaders in their field. Four co-designed educational modules and one introductory session will be delivered by EHRA and Maastricht University.

- Module 1: Integrated arrhythmia care management – Maastricht (NL) – 3-6 October 2026
- Module 2: Trials, Guidelines and Policy – Heart House, Sophia-Antipolis (FR) – 23-26 January 2027
- Module 3: Multidisciplinary care in cardiac arrhythmia management – Maastricht (NL) – 19-22 June 2027
- Module 4: How to organise an arrhythmia unit – Maastricht (NL) – 18-21 September 2027 (Graduation on: Tuesday, 21 September 2027)
Participants will be invited to the EHRA summit. Certificate to all participants.
Selection criteria
Mandatory:
- EHRA Member at the time of registration
- Holding EHRA certification (EP or CIED (CP) certification exam)
Next EHRA Level-2 exams:
EP Exams: 25 September 2026
CP Exams: 18 September 2026
Strongly recommended:
- Willingness to contribute to innovation in the field of cardiac arrhythmia management.
- Having a demonstrable scientific interest
- Experience with executive responsibility
- Demonstrated interest in taking leadership roles
- Proficiency in English
- Willingness to commit the time required for both e-learning and in-person training.
The Selection Committee will nominate 32 participants on a yearly basis. The participation in previous EHRA courses, gender balance and geographical distribution will be taken into consideration.

Tuition Fee
The tuition fee for the EHRA Level 3 – Leadership and Innovation in Cardiac Arrhythmia Management programme (DAS-CAM) amounts to €2.500. These costs include the tuition fees of all programme components, catering during the programme hours of the in-person parts of the modules, such as lunches, dinners during programme hours and coffee breaks. The sum does not include accommodation, travelling costs and dinners outside programme hours.

Prior to completing this form, please make sure your ‘my esc’ data are up to date and you have your EHRA certification certificate (EP or CP), CV, motivation letter ready. You are also required to provide two reference letters (max. 250 words / letter) in English from persons that can assess your intellectual ability, motivation, leadership potential and suitability for admission to the level 3 modules programme. One reference letter should be written by the head of your department (institution) and the second letter should be written by a representative of an (inter)national association or working group, or a fellow of EHRA (FEHRA) who can assess the aforementioned criteria.
