This course introduces students to the vital role of management accounting information in today’s organisations. The course considers the design of cost accounting systems and elaborates on the differences between traditional and Activity Based Costing systems. In addition, concepts like Time Driven Activity Based Costing, Customer Profitability Analysis and Theory of Constraints (throughput costing) are discussed.
