Part-time management programme for professionals
Would you like to develop further as a financial professional and aspire to a role as a Register Controller (RC)? Take the Executive Master of Finance and Control!
The Executive Master of Finance and Control focuses on deepening and expanding current financial-economic knowledge that is essential for (prospective) controllers, financial managers, consultants, interim financials and CFOs. It is a part-time course and is therefore easy to follow alongside an existing job.
During the programme, a strong case-oriented teaching method is used at postgraduate level, applying theory to concrete practical problems, sometimes introduced by participants themselves. Teaching is small-scale in order to gain maximum benefit from each other’s input and experience. Besides deepening in various fields, a Leadership Pathway is available, including the possibility of Personal Counselling.
If you are already a Chartered Accountant, or have completed the theoretical part of the CA programme, you can follow a shortened programme of about one and a half years.
After completing the Executive Master of Finance and Control, you can become a member of the Association of Register Controllers (VRC). This will also entitle you to use the title of Register Controller (RC).
UMIO offers various continuing education activities for alumni. This way, we meet the current and future training needs of financial professionals and you become part of a strong professional network.
Upon completion, you will be awarded a UMIO | Maastricht University degree. You will receive the title of RC and the Master of Science degree ‘Executive Master of Finance and Control’ (EMFC).
This programme is only available in Dutch. Would you like more information about the Executive Master of Finance and Control? Please visit our webpage or download our brochure (both in Dutch) for more information.

UMIO belongs to a select group of educational institutions with three prestigious international accreditations: AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. Worldwide, only 1% of the educational institutions have such a Triple Crown accreditation. We are also accredited by the Dutch-Flemish NVAO.
