WHAT IS THE PROGRAMME FOR PROSPECTIVE SUPERVISORS?
The Programme for Prospective Supervisors is a programme by MAASTRICHT UNIVERSITY, SUPERVISIE LIMBURG and BESTUURDERSCENTRUM, created for those that are interested in “keeping supervision”. Participants are potentially capable of functioning as members of a Supervisory Board. The programme is also very suitable for participants who are or want to become active in boards.
Characteristic of this programme is a theoretical framework coupled with practical experience as a trainee at an institution or company. All current themes on Good Governance, Risk Management, Strategy Formation and Finance are dealt with interactively. In addition, we zoom in specifically on Supervisory Dynamics (interaction between management and supervision), Conflicts of Interest and Integrity, Sustainable Business, and Leadership, among others, with the motto “start with yourself”. There is also plenty of room for additional topics suggested by the group.
As initiators, we select the participants, help with placement searches, monitor the whole process and provide a personal coach throughout. Contact us for detailed information. To keep sufficient attention for you, there is a maximum number of participants.

OUR STUDENTS
UMIO’s various management programmes attract a wide variety of students. Although they come from different backgrounds, they have a few things in common: They are in, or aspire to be in management or leadership roles, and are continuously looking for ways to develop themselves both professionally and personally.
STUDY IN MAASTRICHT
Education at UMIO takes place at the Tapijnkazerne in Maastricht. These former barracks in the heart of Maastricht have recently been completely renovated. The result is a modern and sustainable education location that is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, in the middle of the city park and within walking distance of Maastricht’s city center.
ACCREDITATION
UMIO belongs to a select group of educational institutions with three prestigious international accreditations: AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. Worldwide, only 1% of the educational institutions have such a Triple Crown accreditation. We are also accredited by the Dutch-Flemish NVAO.
